This focused one day training course will offer guidance on the present work-day structure of the Department for Works & Pensions (DWP). It will offer a detailed organisational and administrative framework to explain how the DWP currently delivers policy on a day to day basis.
It will offer both commentary and analysis, recanting the policy impact, successive legislative changes have had on how the DWP delivers its current workload and rolls out policy.
It will provide a detailed analytical assessment of the impact new Welfare Reform are expected to have, examining the outcome these recent changes have had within the DWP, illustrating how such policy shifts have thus far impacted upon the delivery of provision for the elderly and disabled.
The course will conclude by looking at the potential impact the recession, may or may not have on the future spending priorities of the Department; by investigating whether an impending General Election and a series of suggested new policy innovations spearheaded by the Opposition, might pre-empt further debate leading to shifts in policy and even more changes to future policy delivery undertaken by the Department.
The price of this course is £426 plus VAT and includes course notes and the provision of lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
