Casework Experts

Parli-training has been dedicated to delivering high-quality Casework training courses since March 2010. Today, we proudly offer over 25 specialised courses tailored for constituency staff.

We are excited to announce that we are expanding our team and are currently seeking experienced professionals to join us as freelance and part-time trainers. These opportunities can provide both a short-term solution and a long-term career path during this transitional period. Positions are available for both in-person sessions at our Whitehall Office in London and remote sessions via Zoom.

We are looking for seasoned Senior Caseworkers with expertise in the following areas:

  • Immigration Casework
  • Children and Families
  • Housing
  • Emergency Casework
  • Education
  • Welfare Benefits/Universal Credit

If you have five or more years of experience in any of these areas, we encourage you to apply.  Public Affairs Experts

Do you have over 7 years of experience working as public affairs professional? Have you worked in the Parliament or have relevant experience of Scottish and Welsh devolved institutions?

Parli Training is seeking to commission freelance trainers to contribute individual sessions. As a trainer you will have the opportunity to teach current in-house practitioners across the country how to influence the political process.

Skills & Experience Required

Experience in giving lectures and professional presentations
Over 7 years working experience in the political arena as parliamentary staff, civil servant and media and communications staff
High level communications skills
Former experience of working as in-house public affairs professional
EX Ministers and Former MPs  are welcome to apply

Conditions

Trainers based on their knowlegde and experience, and after interview, will be asked to contribute to individual sessions of the Parli Training courses. The individual sessions of the courses last between one hour and three hours and trainers will be paid by session.

Date to contribute to a session will be communicated at least one month in advance and a commissioning contract will be signed. Parli Training course coordinators will liaise with the trainers to prepare material course as well as the facilitation of the courses.

Parli Training will call you and get an interview appointment within the next two weeks after receiving your application.

 

Procedural Experts

Are you an experienced professional with over 15 years of hands-on experience in the House of Commons and House of Lords procedures? We are seeking a dedicated expert to join our team, bringing their extensive knowledge of the legislative process and parliamentary activities, particularly those concerning backbench MPs.

Skills & Experience Required

Key Responsibilities:

  •   -Provide expert advice on parliamentary procedures and legislative processes.
  • – Support and guide backbench MPs on various parliamentary activities.
  • – Ensure compliance with House of Commons and House of Lords protocols.
  • – Conduct training sessions and workshops for parliamentary staff and MPs.

Qualifications:

  • – A minimum of 15 years of direct experience with House of Commons and House of Lords procedures.
  • – In-depth understanding of the legislative process.
  • – Expert knowledge of parliamentary activities related to backbench MPs.
  • – Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • – Proven ability to work in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines.
