Casework Master Class – Legal Aid


Course Overview

The course will help identify who can apply for legal aid and will clarify which specific issues people can apply for legal aid in. The course will explain what particular circumstances people can claim help for example in cases of homelessness if there is a threat in losing a home.

The course will outline which constituents will still be  eligible for legal aid and what particular circumstance  in which claims can be made. So in areas such as child from abuse or harassment,  domestic violence, forced marriages those needed advice for disability or special educational issues, finances matters concerning children and divorce, families in need of mediation, those seeking asylum or  victim of human trafficking or those requiring representation at a mental health tribunal or inquest. Finally for those appealing a decision made due to  social security tribunal and Upper Tribunal, Court of Appeal or even the Supreme Court.
