This one-day specialist course offers detailed professional guidance to caseworkers dealing with planning cases. The course provide insight into how to manage difficult cases as well as provide instruction on planning law, the role of councils and current legislation in this specific areas of casework. It will illustrate that although MPs  have no formal role in the planning process and those taking decisions are normally planning officers, councillors, inspectors and ministers) MPs, can also request for a planning application to be called-in by the Secretary of State.
